Migdalia Mojica, 63 years of age of Jersey City, entered into eternal life on Thursday March 24, 2016 at Sloan Kettering Hospital, New York  surrounded by her loving family. Migdalia was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on June 5, 1952, and spent 58 years as a resident of Jersey City. She was a proud graduate of James J. Ferris High School and St. Peters University and devoted her life to the betterment of the city through years of dedication to its children and to social reform.

Migdalia began her teaching career at St. John the Baptist Elementary School and moved onto William L.Dickinson High School where she spent 29 years as a Teacher of English before retiring in 2010. Migdalia also spent time on the Board of Directors at PACO, as a GED teacher, a volunteer at the Hudson County Probation Office, a Vice Chairwoman of the Jersey City Democratic Party, an Elected Committee woman for Ward E, a Trustee for the JC Puerto Rican Day Parade , and Trustee for the JC Borinquen Lions. She also founded the Santa Maria Scholarship and created The Spanish Club at Dickinson High School. Migdalia will be remembered for her patience, love, and hope for having touched the lives of many.  

She is the loving mother of  Angel and Bettina Soto. Beloved daughter of Arcadia Mojica and the late David Mojica . Dear Sister of Betty Mojica, Nidia Colon, Enrique, David, and David Mojica Jr. and the late Felicita Mojica. Cherished grandmother of Seraphina Soto. Also survived by many relatives and friends. The funeral will be conducted by The Introcaso-Angelo Funeral Home 143 Brunswick Street Jersey City on Wednesday March 30,2016 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Church at 10:30 am. Entombment Holy Name Mausoleum Jersey City. Visiting hours Tuesday March 29, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
