Malabe Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with during this grieving period.   I had the honor of serving with SPC Malabe during his initial time at Fort Sill.  The military blesses us with the opportunity of meeting and knowing amazing people/Soldiers.  So I was not shocked when Malabe walked into my office with his east coast accent and positive demeanor.  Malabe family, thank you for sharing such an amazing person.

Mrs Malabe and girls,
I am so sorry for your loss. Felipe made everyone's lives who had the honor of knowing him better. He made me proud to be a Soldier. While he was in Korea I had the pleasure of being his platoon leader and had the joy of seeing him every day.  He was one of the most dedicated people that I have ever met. He made anyone smile. His happiness was infectious. He spoke about you guys all the time. You could tell that you guys were by far the light in his life. I am so very sad to know that this world is without him. I pray that he is at peace with Our Father.

Psalm 34:18 – The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

God bless you all and I pray for you comfort.

Mrs. Malabe and Family

Although I only knew this young man for only a year in Korea, I was truly blessed to have him as a Soldier and friend. I cannot think of one bad thing he did because he was too busy keeping a smile on other peoples faces. What a teriffic and motivated young man he was and forever will be. The true definition of a friend and helping hand... Though it has been a while since I last seen him, first impressions last a lifetime and he will be forever missed. He talked about his family always and had so much of my respect for being the true definition of a man. May God continue to bless and comfort us all in his passing.

May this scripture bring you some peace during this very difficult time.

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6 - 7

Mrs. Carmen and Family,

SPC Malabe was a dear friend but non the less a very well rounded family man who loved what he did and most of all a good hearted person. I spoke with him the day before they shipped him back to NJ and he was still in very good spirits. The world will not be the same without him around. May God wrap you and your family in his arms and give you all the strength to continue on. He is smiling down from heaven watching over you and the girls.  Love you Carmen.

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Mrs Malabe,

I am sorry for your loss and the world is a lesser place without Felipe. My pain cannot possibly compare to yours but I weep for his loss. I can only think of the times I spent with him in Korea and even though I only knew him for a year, it was a remarkable year thanks to him. He was there when I brought my first son from the hospital, he encouraged my reenlistment, and he supported me when I was promoted to sergeant. He was a selfless man and never hesitated to help another person. He will be missed and even though I wish he was still here, I know he is in a better place smiling down at us.

Dear Carmen and Family
When April phoned me to let me know that Felipe had ended his journey here on earth, I smiled, because I knew that his suffering and pain down here had ended, and he had begun a new journey.  The journey which he took, is one that every living person must take.  The word of GOD, says "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the LORD."  He is now in the presence of our LOR and SAVIOUR.
Carmen, This is the first time that I have seen Felipe, here on his Obituary.  He was a very handsome man.  I imagine that he is now more beautiful, since his entry into Glory.  Be strong, and keep the faith, and do know that the two of you will continue to love each other, from earth to glory, and back again. For earth has no sorrow, that heaven cannot heal.
You and your family will forever remain in my prayers.  Felipe fought a good fight, and he finished his course in life, and now he is in the majestic presence of the Lord, helping the angels to watch over his family.
Love Always, Massie Wilson (April's mother)
